The Skies are Never Grey, The Skies are Always Blue

The other day I was walking home along the canal listening to Marianne Williamson’s A Return to Love. As she waxed poetic about love, life and abundance she said something (many things) that struck me.

“…there is no such thing as a grey sky.  The sky is always blue.  Sometimes, however, grey clouds come and cover the blue sky.  We then think the sky is grey.  It is the same with our minds.  We’re always perfect.  We can’t not be.  Our fearful patterns, our dysfunctional habits, take hold within our minds and cover our perfections. Temporarily. That is all.”

This really hit home.

I often tell my clients that they don’t have to become anything or “do” anything to love themselves…they came to this world as perfect beings and now, we simply want to remove the layers that are blocking their true, pure essence of love. This analogy about the sky really takes it home.

The skies are never grey, the blue skies are simply covered by grey clouds…temporarily. If we can think of life from this point of view when we’re feeling down, afraid, unloved, we can allow the clouds to pass more easily, and once again discover the blue sky - or in other words, our love and joy.

Because as always, this too shall pass…just as the clouds do.When you’re in a low moment and your vibe is down, you may stress out wondering when you’ll come back to alignment and joy. If you can remember in these moments that these are temporary grey clouds covering your blue sky, wouldn’t that be helpful?Underneath the fear, shame, guilt, depression, anxiety, your heart is pure and loving. The sooner you can accept that this is not your fate or who you are, the sooner you can return to blue skies and sunshine.

This passage resonated with me on a deep level, and I genuinely hope that it does the same for you, too

.Peace, love and blue skies,Diana
