Doubt Is Inevitable

Doubt is inevitable.

It creeps in when we both least and most expect it, in the many areas of our lives.

Friend or foe, it’s there for the long haul.

It’s how we deal with it that matters.

I’ve found two nuggets when dealing with doubt.

1.      How I talk to my doubt matters.

Taking the time to get familiar with it, while staying curious (rather than getting wrapped up in it and identifying with it), is KEY.

If what we resist persists, then accepting and acknowledging your doubt makes perfect sense.

2.     The next piece is to see what I can do about my doubt.

Is it perhaps actually pointing me in the direction of my inner wisdom?

In the direction of my next best step?

This doubt may be asking you to…

  • Set better boundaries.

  •   Communicate more clearly.

  • Hire help.

  • Take a course or program.

  • Spend more time in contemplation.

  • Self soothe.

Seen in this way, your doubt no longer needs to be this part of yourself that you absolutely dread.

But more so, a part of yourself you accept and commune with.

How does that feel? Seriously, I’d love to know.

With love,

Diana
